Welcome to AIMETU Microfinance Employees Trade Union ("AIMETU", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of www.aimetu.org, your membership application, participation in union initiatives, and related services. By accessing this website or submitting a membership application, you agree to these Terms.

India-only: These Terms apply exclusively to users and members within India and are governed by Indian law.

Eligibility & Scope

  • Membership is exclusive to individuals employed in the Indian microfinance sector (including NBFC-MFIs, SFBs, and related entities).

Membership Registration

AIMETU allows individuals employed in the Indian microfinance sector to apply for membership directly through the website. All applications are subject to verification of employment status, identity, and eligibility as per the Trade Union Act, 1926. Submission of an online application does not guarantee membership until approved by authorized AIMETU officials.

By submitting a membership form online, users agree to provide accurate details and consent to verification through employer records or direct contact. AIMETU reserves the right to accept, reject, or terminate membership if any information is found false or non-compliant.

Membership Fees and Contributions

The membership fee for AIMETU is variable and may be revised from time to time by the authorized governing body of the Union. By applying for membership or renewing it, you agree to pay the applicable fee as notified by AIMETU. All payments made are subject to verification and may be non-refundable except under special circumstances as determined solely by AIMETU.

User Responsibilities and Code of Conduct

  • Members must provide accurate and truthful information during registration and promptly update any changes in employment or contact details.
  • Members shall not misuse AIMETU’s name, logo, membership ID, or resources for personal gain, political campaigning, or any unauthorized activity.
  • All internal communications, documents, and strategic discussions of the Union are confidential and must not be disclosed without authorization.
  • Members shall respect fellow members and maintain decorum in meetings, forums, and union events.
  • Harassment, discrimination, misinformation, or activities against the unity and objectives of AIMETU are strictly prohibited.

Non-Political & Independent Organization

AIMETU is an independent organization and is not affiliated with any political party or entity. The Union operates solely for the welfare and protection of microfinance employees in India. Members are strictly prohibited from using the AIMETU platform, name, or resources for political campaigning, endorsements, or partisan activities.

Intellectual Property Rights

All content available on this website, including but not limited to the AIMETU name, logo, emblem, digital content, documents, designs, graphics, and text, are the exclusive intellectual property of AIMETU. Unauthorized reproduction, copying, downloading, distribution, modification, or use without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

Members and users are granted a limited, non-transferable, and revocable license to access this website solely for lawful and personal purposes related to union membership and activities.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

AIMETU operates as a representative body exclusively for microfinance employees in India. While all efforts are made to provide accurate information, support, and advocacy, AIMETU shall not be responsible for any loss of employment, disciplinary action, financial impact, or consequences arising out of employer actions, government policies, or individual member conduct.

All services, guidance, and information provided through this website or by AIMETU representatives are for general awareness and collective representation purposes only and should not be treated as legal advice. Members use AIMETU services at their own discretion and responsibility.

In no event shall AIMETU, its officers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of income, employment, reputation, or data.

Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction

All disputes, concerns, or grievances arising from your membership or use of AIMETU services must first be submitted to the AIMETU Grievance Redressal Committee for internal resolution. Members agree to participate in good faith in such proceedings. Only if the matter remains unresolved after the internal process may it be escalated to a court of law.

All legal proceedings and disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Patna, Bihar, India.

Amendments to Terms

AIMETU reserves the right to revise, update, or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time as deemed necessary by the governing body of the Union. Any such changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the website. Continued use of the website or membership services after such changes shall be deemed acceptance of the revised Terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website, submitting a membership application, or using AIMETU services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue the use of the website and services immediately.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and AIMETU Microfinance Employees Trade Union, governed exclusively by the laws of India.
